    • 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
      (Visitors may be required to wait in the queue for a long period of time, so please allow sufficient time to get to the entrance. It may take close to 30 minutes to walk from the stations in the vicinity to the entrance.)
  • Entry Gate:
    • Sakashita-mon Gate

    • You can see the Daijokyu if you turn to the right in the middle of the Inui Street at the crossing to the Nishihane-bashi bridge. Note that you cannot return to the Inui Street from the Daijokyu. Please consult the route map.
  • Exit Gates:
    • Inui-mon Gate.(to be closed at 3:30p.m.),
    • Ote-mon Gate(to be closed at 4 p.m.),
    • Hirakawa-mon Gate(to be closed at 4 p.m.),
    • Kitahane-bashi-mon Gate (to be closed at 4p.m.)

    • Please note that visitors are not allowed to enter via the Inui-mon-Gate or the East Gardens to the Inui Street.

    • The distance from the Sakashita-mon-Gate to the Inui-mon Gate is about 750m.

    •     No stopping/parking of vehicles (including tour buses)
      • ●No car parks are available for public use at the Imperial Palace. Please use the public transportation.
      • ●Stopping/parking of vehicles is not allowed on the streets around the Imperial Palace, so please refrain from parking on the roadside or boarding/alighting from vehicles along the streets.
  • 1.Please take note of the following:
    • (1) Bags will be inspected and security check will be conducted before the entrance gate. Please minimize the number of bags you are carrying.
    • (2) There are some slopes from the Nishihane-bashi bridge to the East Gardens of the Imperial Palace, to which certain footwears might be unsuitable. to which certain footwears might be unsuitable.
  • 2.Entrance is not allowed at the gate to those who:
    • ・bring animals with them (except assistance dogs accompanying physically handicapped persons),
      ・carry dangerous objects, or any other item that could harm or disturb other people.carry flagstaffs, small unmanned aircrafts(drones), large items of luggage that could impede the event.
      ・behave in any other ways deemed harmful to the management of the event.
  • 3.Visitors who commit any of the following acts in the Imperial palace Grounds may be asked to leave the site:
    • (1) Disobeying the instructions of the staff, Disturbing the traffic, or Entering off-limit zones.
    • (2) Eating, Drinking alcohol or Smoking.
    • (3) Using photo tools, such as selfie sticks, tripods, and stepladders, which could disturb other people.
    • (4) Wearing extraordinary costumes inappropriate to the occasion.
    • (5) Entering by bicycle or other vehicles. Playing sports.
    • (6) Damaging facilities, Collecting soil or stones.
    • (7) Capturing, Killing or Wounding animals or fish. Picking plants.
    • (8) Selling items. Raising funds. Conducting performances.
    • (9) Posting or Distributing flyers. Holding an assembly. Making demonstrations.
    • (10) Dropping rubbishes. Making loud noises.
    • (11) Conducting any actions deemed harmful to the event, such as disturbing the order and discipline of the Imperial Palace.
