Let's visit the Imperial Palace

The Imperial Palace is near Tokyo Station in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo. The palace is huge, 1,150,000㎡, which is 25 times larger than Tokyo Dome. The Imperial Palace has several establishments including the Imperial Residence where Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress live, the palaces where His Majesty the Emperor works, the Imperial Household Agency buildings, and the East Gardens. The Imperial Palace is where Edo Castle was during the Edo Period. This was where Shoguns lived. The East Gardens of the Imperial Palace are open to public. They are also open on weekends. (Note that they are closed on Mondays and Fridays.)
